TAGG’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) and TAGG’s Transportation Management System (TMS) link up through Partnership
In the order fulfillment business, there are two main software systems that run fulfillment: a warehouse management system (WMS) and a transportation management system (TMS). The WMS runs the warehouse – inbounds, inventory, orders, picks, etc… Anything regarding the flow of inventory and managing that flow is run through the WMS. TAGG’s TMS comes into play upon shipping. It can price shop between carriers, print all shipping labels and necessary documents and links to carriers like FedEx, UPS and USPS. Our TMS also runs freight shipments and can schedule and price shop LTL loads.
Our WMS and TMS have all formalized a partnership providing a close working environment and seamless integration. This is great news and allows our clients to access some best-of-class fulfillment and shipping solutions.
